Les quelques titres qu'on propose font partie de nos "influences", en tout cas nous nous y retrouvons tous et cela se ressent sur notre musique.
Nous avons un premier album, Fimmròt, qui synthétise bien cela ; son successeur est en cours d'écriture, et devrait paraître l'an prochain.
Yrzen a quelques belles dates à son actif et à venir en 2016, dans un peu toute la France. Tout ce qu'il y a à savoir est dispo sur le net !

1. "Mordecai" - Between the Buried and Me
This is one of my favorite classic BTBAM tracks, one I've been wanting to cover since I discovered the band when I was 14
2. "Qeres" - Trophy Scars
Not exactly metal, but certainly heavy in its own right: Trophy Scars is a band that is constantly evolving and never fails to blow me away with each new release.
3. "Remember Me Lover" - Porcupine Tree
Porcupine Tree's last full-length, The Incident, doesn't seem to be remembered as fondly their other LP's, but it's definitely their most significant album for me. The caliber of the production quality alone on this album was enough to get me interested, and gave me a lot of ideas for future music.
4. "Heir Apparent" - Opeth
I'll always remember hearing Opeth's 2008 album, Watershed, in high school, and being introduced to who would become one of my biggest heavy vocal idols, Mikael Åkerfeldt.
5. "The Space For This" - Cynic
Cynic has remained a prog powerhouse for many years, always enticing my listening by pushing the boundaries and breaking new ground sonically. Traced In Air marked my introduction to the band and heavily influenced my musical endeavors for many years to come.

John's picks reflect bands that had a formative influence on us. For me Opeth showed that metal guitar can be melodic and beautiful as well as brutal (dynamics!). Septic Flesh's newer music just blows my mind with its particular blend of metal guitars and orchestration. That album is amazing and quite unique sounding! We've always had a soft spot for Type O. I think our picks together reveal the wide spectrum of things that have made an impression on us. In particular we like things that are seemingly at the opposite poles of metal (e.g. black metal and doom metal). We enjoy melding all these elements together to find our own expression.

The ultimate Death album in my opinion. Raw death metal. And I love the bass lines.

The opening track from 'Colored Sands' by the French Canadian technical death metal band. I love how it manages to be dischordant and chaotic, yet simultaneously so atmospheric. A great example of composition
"Percées de Lumière" - Alcest
Continuing the French theme. Again, wonderfully atmospheric, but this time with much simpler composition, making use of a much more minimalist approach. I still think this is their best album.
"Driven by the Dark" - Ancient Ascendant
Fellow UK underground metal outfit. Fantastic live band, with a talent for writing seriously catchy riffs! From their 'Into the Dark EP'
"Midnight Serenade" - Arch Matheos
Collaborative studio album between the 2 Fates Warning members. Instrumentally flawless, with a great chorus. Very overlooked album
"Moon Heart Sun Head" - Cynic
Their most recent album 'Kindly Bent to Free Us' was fantastic, and I think this track finds the balance between placidity and heaviness very well. Great guitar solo!
